Beer Quotes

The most repeated quote about beer wasn't even about beer, but it doesn't stop breweries, beer bloggers & half-wits trotting it out again & again. The full quote by Benjamin Franklin was: “Behold the rain which descends from heaven upon our vineyards; there it enters the roots of the vines, to be changed into wine; a constant proof that God loves us, and loves to see us happy.”

This has made me want an alternative list of quotes - much more modern & if possible to actually say something.

* Jeff Bearer - Craft Beer Radio host - "Can you taste the rare?". Referring to difficult to get hold of or short brew run beers scoring highly on beer rating websites.

* Michael Jackson - world famous beer writer - "Meaningless". Referring to Banks' Mild's marketing description as "uniquely Balanced Beer".

* Homer Simpson "I would kill everyone in this room for a drop of sweet beer".

* Gary from Men Behaving Badly "Bitter & stout is what you'll become if you drink them".
